Ad is printed in late 1972 for 1973 model year, backside of one sheet has a nice head on view of the X750, the backside of the other sheet lists models with pictures TX750, TX 650, TX 500, RD 350, RD 250, and RD 60. (not pictured in my photo.) Also includes a third page ad discusiing the '73 Yamaha 2 strokes and 4 strokes. Photo is of actual ad, article, or test being sold. But it was so interspersed with accident and incident that it sidelined the boring bits to irrelevance and made for a cracking spectacle, a spectacle that ended, where it started, with Nico Rosberg taking a Mercedes win in his home Grand Prix.

Thu, 21 Nov 2013Jaguar F-Type Coupe glitzy L.A. debut Jaguar promised the new F-Type Coupe would get a proper high-profile reveal on the eve of the Los Angeles Auto Show, and they certainly delivered. Jaguar’s design guru – Ian Callum – had told Jaguar’s PR people that he wanted the debut to be at speed, and that was achieved by driving the F-Type Coupe in to a specially prepared warehouse in California at 100mph, cutting a swathe through a series of sharp spotlights as the F-Type arrived in the arena.
