Ford Factory (OEM) Radio and CD Player.

This unit was pulled from my 2007 Ford Explorer a few years ago and has sat in the closet since then.  It was in full working order upon removal from my car.

It plays MP3 and burnt CD’s.  It does not have a subwoofer.

A quick google search indicates that it is compatible with multiple vehicles (though may require flashing from a dealer):

Will Fit and Work In:
Ford
2009 - 2013 E150/E250
2007 - 2010 Edge
2007 - 2010 Expedition
2006 - 2010 Explorer
2007 - 2010 Explorer Sport Trac
2007 - 2010 F150 (2010 is a radio style split year, your current radio must look similar to the one pictured for this unit to work)
2008 - 2010 F250/F350
2006 - 2009 Fusion
2007 - 2009 Mustang
2008 - 2009 Taurus
2008 - 2009 Taurus X

Mercury
2006 - 2009 Milan
2006 - 2010 Mountaineer
2008 - 2009 Sable

The part number listed on it is:  7L2T-18C869-AE.  This is an original ford part manufactured in Mexico in January of 2007.

Though google also indicates it is interchangeable with:

6L2T-18C869-AH, 6L2T-18C869-AK, 6L2T-18C869-AF, 6L2T-18C869-AG, 7L2T-18C869-AA, 7L2T-18C869-AB, 7L2T-18C869-AC, 7L2T-18C869-AD, 7L2T-18C869-AE, 7L2T-18C869-AF, 7L2T-18C869-AG, 8L2T-18C869-AA, 8L2T-18C869-AB

Please be sure you are certain that this unit will work with your car before you purchase, I will not accept returns and the information about other compatible cars is from a quick google search, not any expertise on my part.  Please do your own research.

The web advise that you check to make sure all brackets, plugs, antenna, etc. in your car are connectable to this unit, possibly a check with a ford dealership that matches the VIN to this part # could help….

If you have any questions, I am happy to help, however I do not sell car parts regularly, I just pulled this unit from my ford!

Thanks for looking!

2012 Mercedes B-Class: Tease and Technical

Tue, 12 Jul 2011

It's the 2012 Mercedes B-Class in the dark When we get a tease for a new car it’s usually just a shadowy image of the new wonder with all the detail taken away, in case we use Photoshop to bring it to life. Just like the photo (above) we got in of the 2012 Mercedes B-Class. But this teaser photo of the new B-Class is not just a bit of PR frippery, as it comes with a proper raft of detail on how much effort Mercedes has put in to the new B-Class, and just how much is new.

Jeep Grand Cherokee, Commander 4WD problems unrelated to N23 recall, Chrysler says

Fri, 21 Feb 2014

A sizable segment of the Jeep-buying public doesn't do much off-roading, spending much more time on the commute than on the trail. If their vehicle's 4WD system didn't work, it would take a few months and a snowstorm of two for them to notice. If their low-range 4WD died, they'd probably never know it.

Concept Car of the Week: Renault Argos (1994)

Fri, 09 Nov 2012

The 1994 Renault Argos concept is the little sports car based on the humble Twingo that continues to resonate in design terms. Designed by current PSA Director of Design, Jean-Pierre Ploué, the minimalist three-seater ushered in a new design movement dubbed ‘Esprit Nouveau' (New Spirit) that re-instated The Car as an industrial machine after a period of organic, Bio-design influence. Pared-back, broken down into its component parts and proudly bare, the Argos mixed the post-industrial functionality of a contemporary fighter aircraft with a twist of Steampunk fantasy.
