Winners announced in 2011 Car Design Awards competition

The finalists had all entered a contest which asked them to create a design against one of eight briefs coming from both domestic and global OEMs. The awards ceremony, which was held at the Shanghai auto museum, included delegates and judges from domestic and international OEMs and finalist students.

Last Bugatti Veyron Sold The Bugatti Veyron was never supposed to be a ‘forever’ car. It was, from the very beginning, sold as a Limited Edition of 300 cars. And now that 300 cars has been reached with the sale to a European customer of the last Bugatti Veyron Coupe.

Tour of quake zone shows Akio Toyoda 'the depth of destruction'

Toyota Motor Corp. President Akio Toyoda toured Japan's earthquake disaster zone, including the damaged assembly plant opened there in January, as the world's largest automaker struggles to get a grip on the supplier crisis and resume production. Toyoda's trip on Sunday and Monday took him to Miyagi prefecture, near the epicenter of the killer March 11 quake and an area being positioned by Toyota as its domestic center for small car production.
