UK pays £30 million a month in parking fines
Sun, 29 Sep 2013British motorists are paying out a massive £30 million in parking fines every month, according to Freedom Of Information data obtained by LV= car insurance. So far in 2013, councils have handed out over 890,000 tickets a month – an increase of 4% on 2012 figures. The huge £30 million total is based on the UK average parking fine of £42.
Changan opens new European Designing Center in Turin

An audience of VIP guests and press were given grand tour of the new facility located in Rivoli near Turin after an opening ceremony filled with the pomp and pageantry we've come to expect from the Chinese car industry. The new 11,000 square meter European Designing Center is Changan's latest move to grow its business globally, having already established research and development centers at five Chinese locations as well as in Detroit USA, Nottingham UK, and Yokohama Japan.
Jaguar slashes prices – in Australia
Tue, 23 Oct 2012Jaguar has slashed prices across its range in Australia – by as much as £40,000 – as it fights for a bigger market share. But there’s also a feeling that all those years of protectionist import tariffs have inured Australians to the high price of luxury cars, and that car makers take advantage of that by keeping prices high, regardless of the level of taxes imposed on their products. That means something like a Rolls Royce Phantom costs £650k and a Porsche 911 starts at £150k.
