SEAT hints at new Nurburgring lap record

Repeated references to the Nurburgring during the press conference at the launch of the new SEAT Leon Cupra strongly suggest that the 280hp hot hatch has broken the front-wheel drive lap record. SEAT is waiting until the 2014 Geneva Motor Show before saying any more, but has already hinted that its new Leon Cupra is significantly faster than the current Renaultsport Megane record holder. Audi TT RS (2009) teaser pictures and audio

It'll be Ingolstadt's hottest ever TT, with over 300bhp from its 2.5-litre turbocharged engine. To whet your appetite a little further Audi has also released an audio clip of the TT RS in action, which you can listen to here. We'll see the car in full at the Geneva motor show in less than two weeks time.
