Vorsteiner dresses, tunes up the BMW 1M
Fri, 18 May 2012Vorsteiner debuted its GTX-V 1M Program for the BMW 1M coupe. It features a front spoiler, rear diffuser, trunklid, exhaust and forged wheels. The front lip and trunklid are made from what Vorsteiner calls Autoclave Pre-Preg Carbon Fiber.
GM closes UK Advanced Design Studio
Tue, 09 Aug 2011CDN has learnt that General Motors is closing its UK Advanced Design Studio as part of its ongoing restructuring program. Clay Dean, GM's executive director of advanced global design and Cadillac's brand director, arrived at the studio on 4 August to announce the closure to staff. The UK studio, which opened in 1999, was predominantly involved in the creation of Cadillac concept cars and was originally planned to be a short-term confidential operation as the smallest of GM's design studios.
First 2014 Shelby GT500 Super Snake headed to museum
Thu, 30 Jan 2014The first 2014 Ford Shelby GT500 Super Snake was delivered to the new Shelby Automotive Museum in Southern California on Dec. 26, 2013. The 850-hp, Grabber Blue pony car wearing chassis number 14SS0010 will take its place among the rest of Shelby’s classics, and it will also join the Shelby Registry.
