I am a professional race-car driver with 30 years of experience, and I still drive for General Motors' Cadillac race team in the Pirelli World Challenge series. I also have 20 years of experience educating new drivers, parents and driver-education teachers regarding safer street driving. The BMW 4 Series Coupe concept will make its debut at next month's NAIAS in Detroit, when it will become the first model to wear the new 4er badge as it distances itself from the 3 Series sedan. While billed as a concept it is believed to be virtually production-ready. It offers little in the way of surprises in the wake of the F10 3 Series and larger 6 Series with traditional short front and long rear overhang proportions.

Rain-soaked Woodward Avenue welcomed thousands of cruisers and car enthusiasts for the 16th annual Dream Cruise on a wet Saturday just north of Detroit. Though the weather didn't cooperate for much of the day with rain ranging from a mist to steady showers, it failed to dampen the spirits of car fans for all over. As usual, Mustangs, Corvettes and Challengers took center stage on the iconic strip, which plays host to the yearly summer celebration of chrome and fins.
