Wed, 25 Nov 2009Despite allusions to cooperation on the Viper with Chrysler's new Italian owners, there will be no Viper Ferrari. Hey, it was a natural question, especially since Dodge opened that door in a press release on Tuesday about a lap record set by a production Viper ACR at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca (1:33.915; more on that in a minute). Mercedes claims the new S63 AMG is 65kg lighter than the outgoing CL63 AMG, mainly thanks to a new lithium-ion battery for the car’s ancillary systems.
Mazda hints at new look

The company has issued this borderline pointless, teaser sketch of the coupe concept. The Nagare show car – to be unveiled in Los Angeles on 29 November – will influence the next wave of Mazdas, such as future sports cars.
