Infiniti M37 – Prices, specs +video
Mon, 19 Jul 2010The Infiniti M37 starts at £35,150 in the UK We’ve covered just about everything Infiniti has thrown out in the last year as they seek to establish a presence in the UK and Europe. They debuted the Infiniti M at Geneva in the Spring, and today we have price and spec details for the Infiniti M37, the first of three Infiniti M models hitting the UK and Europe in the next few months. Sadly, Infiniti has felt it necessary to make the M37 the biggest engine on offer, deciding that fuel thrifty Europe wouldn’t be interested in the big V8, 5.6 litre M56.
Nissan developing the self-cleaning car
Fri, 25 Apr 2014Motorists may never need to wash their cars again, as Nissan is helping to develop paint that repels mud, rain and dirt. The technology, which Nissan tells us is “super-hyrophobic and oleophobic”, creates a protective layer of air between the paint and the environment, preventing dirt sticking to the car. Nissan Nissan Note already uses self-cleaning technology Called Ultra-Ever Dry, the tech is currently being tested on the Nissan Note, which already features a ‘wash and blow dry’ function on its rear view camera.
BMW i3 revealed: The BMW Megacity lives
Fri, 29 Jul 2011BMW i3 Revealed - on sale in 2013 The BMW i8 – also revealed today – may be BMW’s answer to a supercar with a conscience for the 21st century, but the other end of the scale is the BMW solution to city mobility – the BMW i3. Known as the Megacity Vehicle – at least until BMW gave us all the detail of the i3 and i8 a few months ago – the BMW i3 is an upright box with a choice of pure electric or range-extender powertrains and is – in size – somewhere between the MINI and the current 1-Series. Just like the i8, the BMW i3 has a predominantly aluminium chassis and a body made of CFRP so it’s reasonably light for an EV (1270kg) and should be nimble thanks to its low centre of gravity which, just like the i8, is due to its batteries and the other heavy stuff sitting low down.
