BMW to EXPORT 5-Series from China
Sat, 26 Nov 2011BMW are to export China made 5-Series cars When you think about luxury cars in China, you think of bigĀ importsĀ from the West at premium prices for newly wealthy Chinese. But BMW are planning to turn that on its head. BMW’s China CEO has revealed that before the end of 2011 we’ll see Brilliance-BMW 5-Series cars being exported to neighbouring Asian countries, as BMW seeks to cash in on its low cost, low duty China manufacturing facility.

They don’t see it as a real Alfa, perhaps because it doesn’t break down every five minutes and it’s front wheel drive. We’re slightly on the side of the FWD thing but in a small, mass market car FWD it’s the layout of choice.
Range Rover Evoque Convertible NOT going in to production. Thankfully.
Sun, 07 Apr 2013It seems Land Rover is having second thoughts about making the Range Rover Evoque Convertible – shown at Geneva 2012 – in to a production model. But the one model we really couldn’t find a lot of positives in was the Range Rover Evoque Convertible – which arrived as a concept at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show – looking like the ultimate statement of Chav central for Tango’d ‘Ladies’ who lunch, from Brentwood via Surrey and up to Cheshire. We understood Land Rover’s impetus – they thought there’d be a market for a drop-top Evoque – but it really was a step too far for Land Rover to go.
