Concept Car of the Week: Mitsubishi HSR (1987)

In 1987, Mitsubishi initiated a range of concept cars called HSR (High Speed Research) with the intention of creating a futuristic vision for the brand combining advanced technology, efficient power and aerodynamic design. The first concept car was designed for safely cruising on the motorway at very high speed, thanks to cutting edge electronics. The car's internal computers measured speed, weather, driver input and grip, and adjusted the 4-wheel drive system and the 4-wheel steering automatically.

Jaguar XF Sportbrake Price & Model lineup plus new XF engine options

The Jaguar XF Sportbrake will cost from £31,940 and the XF saloon will  get the new V6 Supercharged 3.0 litre engine for 2013. It’s taken quite a while to get a Jaguar XF Sportbrake price from Jaguar’s bean counters, but they’ve finally decided the entry price for an XF Estate will be the XF Sportbrake 2.2 Diesel SE Business at £31,940, rising to £51,505 for the XF Sportbrake 3.0 Diesel S Portfolio – a premium of around £2.5k for the shed on the back. First Sight: Skoda Octavia

The new Skoda Octavia was unveiled earlier this week in the Czech brand's museum at its home in Mladá Boleslav, Czech Republic. Car Design News was in attendance to check out the third generation of what the company calls ‘the heart of Skoda'. The new Octavia is the fourth model in the Volkswagen Group to be built on the new MQB (Modularer Querbaukasten) platform.
