  • Crank-driven supercharger increases torque and horsepower from idle to redline, delivering immediate throttle response—producing 504 hp @ 5,500 rpm and 550 lb.-ft. torque @ 4,000 rpm (from 381 hp @ 5600 rpm and 401 lb.-ft. torque @ 3600 rpm)
  • Integral by-pass valve prevents supercharger from going into “boost” when driving at a steady state of speed such as on the highway or light traffic. Takes less then ½ hp to operate when by-pass valve is open, helping reduce parasitic drag from the crankshaft
  • Self-contained air-to-liquid intercooler gives higher performance than non-intercooled, and improved towing ability and passing power than non-intercooled
  • Gen 6 four-lobe rotor design features a high-twist 160-degree helix for improved efficiency, requiring less power to drive—plus it generates less temperature in boost and is substantially quieter than earlier Gen 5 technology
  • Upgrade fuel system includes larger fuel injectors, allowing for proper fuel delivery when using supercharger system at full capacity
  • Factory calibration of ECU gives the best performance with the optimal fuel mileage when combined with the increase in torque and horsepower
  • Greatly increases towing ability, acceleration
  • Complete kit includes all necessary hardware for “factory installed” appearance. No cutting, welding or fabrication required for supercharger installation
  • Supercharger has self-contained lubrication, so there’s no maintenance required on supercharger—or supercharger system components
  • Emissions legal in all 50 states
  • This supercharger is only approved for installation on Gasoline Fueled vehicle applications. No Flex Fuel vehicle applications are approved.

Lamborghini Urus SUV confirmed to arrive in 2017

Tue, 14 May 2013

The Urus will be VW Group’s lightest and quickest SUV – expected to best even the Porsche Cayenne Turbo – and will be built on VW’s new large SUV platform – the same platform that will underpin the Bentley Falcon SUV, Audi Q7 (and Audi Q9) and Porsche Cayenne – and will use a forged carbon composite structure from the central tunnel to the rear suspension to save weight. Power for the Urus is expected to come from the twin-turbo V8 we’ve already seen in the Bentley Continental GT and Audis, producing something in the region of 600bhp and perhaps even more if Lamborghini add a hybrid option to throw some electric assistance at the V8′s 600 horses. It seems likely the Urus concept will remain largely unchanged for production, although we could see some toning down of its more extreme elements, as Lamborghini look to add 3,000 sales a year to their annual total when the Urus hits showrooms.

Renault Alpine A110-50 concept photo leaked

Tue, 22 May 2012

Just days before the public reveal of the Renault Alpine A110-50 concept at the Monaco Grand Prix, a leaked image has hit the Web. Eerily similar to the Renault DeZir concept from the 2010 Paris motor show, the A110-50 is a celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Renault Alpine A110. According to the United Kingdom's Car magazine, the A110-50 will have a mid-engine V6 with roughly 400 hp and 310 lb-ft of torque.

Mercedes C63 AMG facelift (2011) first pics

Mon, 07 Feb 2011

This is the new 2011 Mercedes C63 AMG, a facelifted version of the three-pointed star’s hot rod family saloon. Nope. The power and torque outputs remain unchanged, because under the bonnet is still the same 6.2-litre naturally aspirated V8 as before.
