2012 Suzuki Swift Sport costs £13.5k in the UK Suzuki UK reveals the new Suzuki Swift Sport will cost £13,500 when it goes on sale in January 2012. The Suzuki Swift is a more than half way decent little car, and the range-topping Suzuki Swift Sport – which was revealed at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September – looks set to be a fun little number with decent dynamics thanks to a tweaked suspension. Although the new Swift Sport only gets an extra 10bhp over the old Sport model, it can get to 62mph in 8.7 seconds and carry on going to 121mph.

Earlier this week he announced the US’s Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) would rate the new Chevy Volt as capable of 230mpg on the open road. The Nissan Leaf EV has picked a bone with the Volt.

Unique pre-war Lagonda saloon headed for auction

AN ULTRA-RARE V12-engined Lagonda Hooper two-door saloon from 1939 is set to headline an auction of amazing old cars. The Lagonda V12 Hooper is technically unique in history, having been built specifically for the wife of the owner of Hooper Bodies Ltd., the most noted coachbuilder of the pre-war era. Now, 75 years after it was built, it needs a complete restoration but still looks set to receive bids topping at least £75,000.
