Young drivers at risk from poor tyre care
Wed, 06 Nov 2013YOUNG DRIVERS are putting their lives at risk by not looking after their cars’ tyres. A survey by Tyresafe and insurer Ingenie has found that more than a third of young drivers aged 18-25-years old had never checked their tyres for tread depth and a quarter had not checked the tyres on their car for correct pressure ever. The survey found that better education is needed to tell young drivers of the important of looking after the tyres on their car.
Land Rover Discovery 4 3.0 TDV6 HSE Review & Road Test (2010)
Sat, 18 Sep 2010Land Rover Discovery 4 Review The news this year from the world of Land Rover has been focused on the origins of Land Rover’s first foray in to the world of road-going luxury – the 40th anniversary of the launch of the Range Rover – and on the future of Range Rover as personified by the Range Rover Evoque, which is almost the antithesis of all that Range Rover was conceived to be. But Land Rover has another range of cars – apart from the iconic Defender – which are perceived to trail in the wake of the Range Rover. The Land Rover Discovery and the Land Rover Freelander may – certainly in the eyes of the car-buying public – be seen as somehow ’Less’ than the Range Rovers, but as we discovered when we recently reviewed the 2010 Freelander 2 HSE, that really isn’t the case.
Lamborghini Cabrera: The tease begins
Wed, 27 Nov 2013Lamborghini Cabrera: The tease begins Just yesterday, we reported that the very last Lamborghino Gallardo had rolled off the production line in Sant’Agata Bolognese after a ten year reign. And Lamborghini are wasting no time whetting appetites for the Gallardo, with a new website launched to tease its replacement, complete with a ‘start’ button to hear the new V10 roar and instructions to “Listen to your instinct – Discover the roar of the new creature from Lamborghini”. That replacement is probably going to be called the Lamborghini Cabrera, which we’ve been expecting to debut at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show.
