Dok-ing Automotive contest calls for fresh interior designs
Fri, 30 Nov 2012Dok-ing Automotive has launched a global sketch contest calling for interior designs for its XD concept. Launched in collaboration with the Automotive Design Conference, the Croatian carmaker wants to see new, fresh and luxurious interior designs that embody its company slogan – ‘Driving First Class'. The XD's high-quality materials, colors, shapes along with the doors and seating layout offers a lot of scope for personalization through the use of color and material and so the design needs to be easy to alter in production. Your submission has to include three seats, three touchscreens on the dashboard (a 12″ central screen and two 17″ screens on each side) as well as the Dok-ing Automotive logo.

Tue, 31 May 2011Depending on your perspective, the BMW 328 Hommage concept unveiled at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este in Italy is either a breathtaking tribute to an automotive styling icon or a caricature of a dead beaver. No matter which side of the aisle you find yourself on, this video offering a behind-the-scenes look at the photo shoot packs plenty of allure. At just a minute and a half, it’s a great example of all that goes into our favorite kind of photography.
Kia Borrego
Thu, 08 Nov 2007Kia has released photos of the Borrego, a full-size SUV for the North American market. The production model, which was originally previewed as the Mesa Concept at the 2005 Detroit Auto show, would have taken exactly three years to be transformed from a show car to a full production model when it makes its official debut at the NAIAS in 2008. Overall proportions and design details have been adjusted and toned-down noticeably from the Mesa concept, with details such as more realistically-sized alloy wheels, the body-To-DLO ratio, a no-frills interior and, perhaps most apparent, the more subtle greenhouse graphics.
