Jaguar XKR-S GT IS coming to the UK – just 10 available

The Jaguar XKR-S GT (pictured at Goodwood FoS) will be available in the UK At the New York Auto Show in the spring, the Jaguar XKR-S GT was revealed as a track inspired, but road legal, version of the XKR-S to be sold in limited numbers and only for the US market. At first we thought the XKR-S GT was destined for both the US and UK, but it quickly became clear that Jaguar intended their XKR-S GT just for the US. Which seemed a shame.

Every year the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance names its Best in Show and this year a 1934 Packard 1108 Twelve Dietrich Convertible Victoria took the crown. The Packard Twelve is considered as one of the finest automobiles produced by Packard and the judges felt this example stood out, even in such illustrious company. Legendary drag racer Don Garlits couldn't have been legendary without his wife Patricia, who recently passed at the age of 71; in a few more weeks, they would have celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary. She supported Don when he didn't think his racing would amount to anything, and she was instrumental in persuading Don to switch to rear-engined dragsters -- Don's eventual acceptance ended up changing the face of drag racing forever.
