New Kia Cee’d & Procee’d GT Turbo Geneva 2013 debut

Kia will launch the Cee’d & Pro_cee’d GT at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show with a 200bhp Turbo engine and cosmetic tweaks. We’ve already revealed that Hyundai are planning a turbo version of the i30 3-door (perhaps the Hyundai i30 R?) and Kia are following suit to with go-faster versions of the new Cee’d, new Pro_cee’d and, it appears, even the new Cee’d Sportswagon. The plan is to kick of with the launch of the Cee’d GT and Pro_cee’d GT at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, with every possibility Kia will also launch a Cee’d Sportswagon GT later in 2013.

Carmel Concours stages a strong comeback

The Carmel Concours on the Avenue came back stronger than ever this year, with somewhere around 200 cars crammed into every nook and cranny of downtown Carmel, Calif., and a crowd many were saying was the biggest the event has ever seen. Under unusually blue skies and warm temperatures, the sunscreened faithful ogled a varied and eclectic lineup, from Ferraris and Porsches to the Ford tractor owned by Carroll Shelby's doctor. Whos Where: Pierre Castinel is Head of Design at Tata

Indian automaker Tata has been front page news often in recent times, first because of the impressive one-lakh Nano, which changes the automotive industry playing field, and most recently because of its acquisition of Jaguar and Land Rover from Ford's Premiere Automotive Group for the tidy sum of $2.3 billion - less than half what Ford paid for both companies in 1989.  At the helm of Tata's design efforts is Pierre Castinel, Head of Design. Though only officially announced in March this year, Castinel has been active at Tata since he left Renault in summer 2007, a company he worked at for 20 years. Castinel started as a modeler for Peugeot and worked there for three years.
