AmSteel®-Blue is a torque-free 12-strand single braid that yields the maximum in strength-to-weight ratio and, size for size, is the same strength as steel—yet it floats.
AmSteel®-Blue outlasts wire 3:1, making it an excellent wire rope replacement. It has extremely low stretch and superior flex fatigue and wear resistance.
Samthane coating enhances that already high abrasion and cut resistance.

BMW's quirky new i3
Wed, 31 Jul 2013The side view of the new BMW i3 electric vehicle takes some getting used to, with no two windows the same size or shape. The i3 is high-waisted through the front door and then there's a notch for a taller rear-passenger window and the rear-hinged rear door and a narrow, tapering window at the rear quarter. Yet when you look at the underlying structure -- made of carbon-fiber-reinforced plastic -- an innovative choice for a mass-produced car -- there's a giant side opening from front to rear.

Thu, 03 Sep 2009By Tim Pollard First Official Pictures 03 September 2009 09:00 CAR's scooped the new Ford C-Max, coming to a showroom near you in 2010 complete with sliding doors for the first time. Our new spyshots reveal the sliding doors on next year's C-Max, which will improve practicality for families and parents armed with buggies and carry cots. Sources suggest that the sliding doors will be reserved for a longer wheelbase seven-seater C-Max, leaving the regular car with conventional doors and five seats.
