Jaguar to end XK production after 18 years

Jaguar will this summer cease production of the XK 2+2 GT car after 18 years at the top of the Coventry firm’s model range. The decision to stop making the XK comes after the hugely successful launch of the F-Type – which, say analysts, has led to a big fall in XK sales as thousands of buyers queues up to buy the F-Type. Pandora now available for 2011 BMW models

A free Pandora Internet radio iPhone app is now available for 2011 BMW models that use the BMW Apps feature. Popular features available through the app include access to existing stations, creating new stations, the ability to thumbs-up or thumbs-down tracks and the option to bookmark songs. To stream Pandora, the iPhone is linked to the car via a USB cable or through the center armrest with an available snap-in adapter.

Hyundai Veloster Turbo gets 400bhp

Hyundai in the US has created a Veloster for this year’s SEMA show – the Hyundai Velocity – with a 400bhp Cosworth makeover. SEMA show cars are always extreme and always completely over the top, but they do show just what can be done with mainstream cars when car makers are let off the leash of marketing constraints. This year Hyundai is out playing, and as well as creating a Genesis Coupe with Cosworth power they’ve also taken the new Hyundai Veloster Turbo and created a 400bhp monster SEMA car.
