Tata’s new Indica Vista EV will be built in the UK, and these are the first official pictures of Tata's new electric car. The Vista EV (electric vehicle) will be fully launched in summer 2012. But, between now and the end of March 2011, the company will supply 25 Vista EVs for folk working in and around the West Midlands as part of a 12-month trial.

Ford in Europe is trying to address that by launching ‘Vignale’ badged cars which promise to offer more ‘Premium quality’ than its mainstream models, and Ford in the US is doing the same thing by trying to reinvent the Lincoln badge as the answer to German premium models. Call to pass on petrol price cuts

THE AA has joined calls for retailers to pass on a fall in the wholesale price of petrol to motorists. Pump prices have "barely budged" from the late summer high of just over 138p a litre despite a 2p-a-litre fall in the wholesale price of petrol a fortnight ago and a further 3p drop last week, according to the latest AA Fuel Price Report. Petrol averaged 132p at the start of the year, "and this is where it should be heading if the wholesale price collapse persists", the report said.
