And so it seems – even though almost a year has passed – with the reveal today by Peugeot of what will be the world’s first diesel hybrid when the 3008 HYbrid4 starts to hit the road in 2011. Dana Point concours to feature Le Mans legends and Shelby hot rods

The 30th-annual Dana Point Concours d'Elegance at the St. Regis Monarch Beach Resort will highlight “Legends of Le Mans: Racing in the '60s” and celebrate the 50th anniversary of Shelby American. A 1961 Ferrari 250 SWB that won its Le Mans class in 1961 will join the event from the collection of Bruce Meyer.

Italdesign Giugiaro debuts electric Clipper MPV

The Volkswagen T-ROC wasn't the only Geneva Motor Show concept unveiled this week that uses the Golf platform, Italdesign Giugiaro unveiled an MPV concept that managed to turn quite a few heads. Italdesign is owned by Volkswagen, so this design and engineering exercise seemed like a no-brainer, allowing the company to show off an extra concept car in an entirely different wrapper. The Clipper an all-wheel drive six-seat MPV sitting on the MQB platform, which Volkswagen is keen to expand beyond the Golf and the next-generation Scirocco, and it features two electric motors producing 149-hp each, one for each axle.
