Volkwagen BlueSport Concept debuts with a diesel at the Detroit auto show

Volkswagen's long-rumored mid-engine roadster finally made its debut at the Detroit Auto Show. The Concept BlueSport slots its efficient 2.0-liter turbocharged diesel four-cylinder midship in the compact chassis, demonstrating the sporty possibilities of the engine. The sinister Black Widow Corvette Stingray made an appearance at the Chicago Auto Show on Wednesday. The triple black 'Vette will be featured in the next Marvel comic movie “Captain America: Winter Soldier.” The Black Widow is one of 15 Stingrays being displayed at the show. The Pininfarina Gran Lusso Coupe is a contemporary four seater created in cooperation between BMW's in-house design team headed by Karim Habib and famed Italian design house Pininfarina. The car is based on a modified rear-drive BMW 7-series platform and uses the 760i's 6.0-liter, 536-hp turbo V12 for power.
