Steve Mattin appointed Design Director at Volvo Cars
Mon, 07 Feb 2005Volvo Car Corporation has appointed British designer Steve Mattin as Vice President and Design Director, who joins the company on 1 May following a long career at DaimlerChrysler, where he is currently Senior Design Manager with several major design projects under his responsibility. Steve Mattin is well respected in the automotive design community, and has a real passion for premium cars, which he has proved during his 17 years at DaimlerChrysler. Steve will report to Volvo Cars President and CEO, Hans-Olov Olsson as well as J Mays, group vice president of Design and Chief Creative Officer of Ford Motor Company.
Gemballa MIG-U1 Enzo – details revealed
Tue, 12 Jan 2010The Enzo Ferrari based Gemballa MIG-U1 Just before Christmas a set of pictures of a Ferrari Enzo dropped in to our inbox. They turned out to be pictures of a modified Enzo created by Porsche specialist Gemballa and looked very appealing – although probably not to Ferrari aficionados who would no doubt think the Gemballa-ised Enzo to be sacrilege. But we didn’t have much detail on the Gemballa MIG-U1 (for that is the catchy little moniker Uwe Gemballa had attached to his Enzo creation) save what we could see.

Mon, 10 Jan 2011Porsche Detroit Supercar Tease The Detroit Motor Show kicks off today for press – well, today Detroit time, which is a few hours yet – and car makers have been getting their product ready to show. And lots of that product is being sneaked in to keep prying eyes away before the official reveal happens later today or later this week. But Porsche has filmed their promised ‘Something Spectacular’ as it arrives in Detroit to be readied for the eyes of the world to fall upon it.
