This is the Volkswagen Polo R WRC, a rally car-inspired hot hatch that shoehorns Golf GTI power into a Polo bodyshell. Deliveries of the strictly limited 2500-unit production run will commence in September 2013, but the bad news is that invitation doesn't extend to mainstream UK buyers. That said, VW hints that it could bring in a handful to the UK if there's enough demand.

The Mercedes S63 AMG is the firts to get the new AMG 5.5 litre V8 Bi-Turbo Mercedes’ top end AMG engine has changed over the last few years. They launched the new Infiniti M there last year and the event opened with the Infiniti Essence Concept. Which is hardly a huge surprise as the US is Infiniti’s biggest market. It competes on even-ish terms with Lexus across the Pond, whereas it had managed to sell just 60 cars in the UK up until February.
