Renault Alpine A110-50 video tease
Thu, 24 May 2012Alpine A110-50 tease video Ahead of a reveal tomorrow in Monaco, Renault has released a teaser video of the Alpine A110-50. The other day we reported what appeared – at least on the face of it – to be a leaked photo of the new Alpine A110-50, the first new Alpine from Renault in many a year. And we weren’t convinced.
WIN the last ever Volvo C30 on Twitter
Mon, 10 Jun 2013The last ever Volvo C30 (pictured) is up for grabs in a Twitter competition The Volvo C30 has only been with us for seven years, but it’s made its mark. Perhaps the highest profile outing for the C30 was with a starring role in the Twilight films, which exposed the C30 to a very non-Volvo demographic, and made the C30 almost cool. But with Volvo’s new V40 hitting the roads, Volvo revealed they were ending production of the C30 and now they’ve decided they’re going to give away the very last C30 – an R-Design model with Polestar upgrades and an Ice White paint job – in a Twitter competition starting on 13th June.
Mini Vision concept: what does it say about the brand's future?
Thu, 01 Aug 2013The sight of Mini design head Anders Warming presenting a holographic, 3D projection of the Mini Vision concept as if appearing in his own cartoon was certainly a new one on us, but it captured the quirky, slightly left-field image the subsidiary of BMW Group has cultivated since its relaunch 13 years ago. As the 'Vision' tag suggests, this is billed as a marker of intent for the brand's future design direction rather than a pre-production teaser of the new Mini hatchback (Cooper in most markets) we'll see later this year. However if the third-generation 'new' Mini doesn't look remarkably similar we'd be amazed, such is the level of productionized detailing on this purely digital model.
