10' Tunnel Hull SWIFT SWOOSE Catamaran 1954 How-To build PLANS Boat

Plans to build the Swift Swoose - a powered adaptation of the Polynesian Outrigger Boat. This wide beamed, fast, sports catamaran will do 45 MPH with a 25 HP outboard motor and is stable as a church pew. When planing, the Swoose rides on only 12 sq. in. of its bottom. The streamlined twin hull shape, with it's specially designed tunnel, lifts the Swoose almost clear of the water and keeps water surface friction to a minimum.

  • Beam 5'

  • Seating capacity 4 persons.
  • Uses outboard motors from 5 to 25 hp.

LipraLoof Techologies Ltd, a new start-up, has teamed up with City Car Club to trial the new technology in its fleet of vehicles. The new batteries use a complex mix of metal hydrates to create a quad, or 4A battery, which produces far more power than a standard battery.
