Uber smartphone app to take over taxi market?

Wed, 11 Dec 2013

A new smartphone app called Uber is threatening to put the traditional taxi out of business. The smartphone software allows users to ‘order’ a private car, connecting passengers with regular drivers willing to hire out their vehicles. However, these aren’t taxis… On Bing: see pictures of Uber Wifi hotspots for London’s black cabs Uber originally began in San Francisco in 2009, with users able to book and reserve a car driven by a regular member of the public for journeys via text message or the dedicated smartphone app.

Peugeot 107 Verve Review & Road Test part two

Sat, 10 Apr 2010

Peugeot 107 Verve Road Test The 107 is a great first car – easy to drive, easy to park, insurance group 1E (so it won’t cost an arm and a leg to get a bit of no claims going), so much so I’ve already recommended it to a friend who is looking to buy her first car after passing her test. But with the starting price of the Peugeot 107 Verve at £9,170 it’s a little pricey for what you get, even thought that includes AirCon, alloys, CD player and mp3 point as standard. As a fun, economical and stylish City car the 107 Verve presses most of the right buttons.

That always made sense because Citroen now has a new market that appreciates bigger cars, particularly bigger cars that have smaller engines, and that’s China. We thought a DS6 was on its way in 2012 when  Citrone revealed a teaser photo on its Facebook page.
