Jaguar Land Rover Heritage Parade in London for Queen’s Coronation Festival

Mon, 08 Jul 2013

Jaguar Land Rover drive their Royal Heritage cars down the Mall to celebrate the Coronation Festival Remarkably, considering 2012 was the 60th anniversary of the Queen coming to the throne and the celebratory events we had, we’ve heard very little about the 60th anniversary of the coronation. In fact, we’ve already passed the diamond anniversary of the Queen’s coronation (on 2nd June) without any huge fanfare but, for some reason, we have a ‘Coronation Festival’ from 11-17th July to celebrate the ‘Best of British’. But it seems Jaguar Land Rover couldn’t wait for the event to start properly, so they’ve jumped the gun and gone parading a selection of Jaguars and Land Rovers with Royal connections  round London this weekend.

MINI Countryman Review - Is the Countryman still a go-kart? There’s no doubt the diesel is going to be the engine of choice in the Countryman. And if you opt for the Cooper D – which we have – you’ll get the new BMW 1.6 litre lump instead of the old PSA unit.

The £1300 car

By Tim Pollard Motoring Issues 09 January 2008 12:21 One of the most intriguing cars of the year will be unveiled later this week: the Tata one-lakh car that could redefine budget transport for the masses. The £1300 bargain will be launched at the New Delhi Auto Show amid an anticipated media storm. Tata hopes to mobilise India with the one-lakh car, named after the Indian shorthand for 100,000 rupees, the equivalent £1300.
