Aston Martin to recall nearly 17,000 cars

Aston Martin has announced it is to recall 16,825 cars globally to rectify an issue that has emerged with the throttle pedal of its cars. Models built between November 2007 and October 2013 will be recalled, the firm says, because they “may exhibit a defect in the throttle pedal”. Lexus sketches future compact for the Frankfurt motor show

Lexus is jumping into the compact fray and has released a sketch of a concept that will be revealed at the Frankfurt motor show on Sept. 15. Lexus says the premium small car will make a design and technology statement, though further details are not available.
