Measuring a 5-Bolt Trailer Wheel Bolt Pattern

Measure 5-Hole Trailer Wheels

Method #1

Measure a five bolt wheel from the Center of one bolt hole, skip one bolt hole and then the Outer Edge of the next hole. In this case the ruler is almost directly across the center of the wheel.

Method #2

You can also determine your 5 bolt pattern by measuring the distance between the center of one bolt hole, to the center of the bolt hole next to it.

If you measure:

  • 2 5/8" - your bolt pattern is 5 on 4.5"
  • 2 3/4" - your bolt pattern is 5 on 4.75"
  • 3" - your bolt pattern is 5 on 5"
  • 3 1/4" - your bolt pattern is 5 on 5.5"

Mon, 08 Jul 2013

Opel’s Karl-Thomas Neumann (pictured) reveals the first look at the new Opel Monza Last week we revealed that there will be a new Opel Monza at this year’s Frankfurt Motor Show in September, although much of the detail was educated guesswork. And even though Vauxhall has taken some off the wraps of the new Monza this morning, we’re still not really any the wiser. Vauxhall/Opel are calling the Monza ‘The Future’ of the brand and say it represents a vision of the company’s future and will have a long term impact on production cars.

In the midst of the reveals at the Detroit Auto Show last week, Audi revealed the 2012 A6 Allroad in Germany, and a decent-looking Allroad it is too. Unlike previous iterations of the A6 Allroad, the 2012 A6 Allroad looks almost as sleek and appealing as the regular A6 Avant, despite its butch plastic cladding and skid plates.

Why Aston Martins use Volvo keys

Wed, 29 Oct 2008

By Nick Gibbs Motoring Issues 29 October 2008 14:03 Did you know that Aston Martins use Volvo keys? We should hardly be surprised, since we all know that Astons dip into the expansive Ford parts bin for everything from sat-navs to switchgear. But you’d expect them to at least go to some lengths to remove the original badging.
