New Skoda Octavia Scout costs from £25,315 The new Skoda Octavia Scout arrived at the Geneva Motor Show in the Spring, bringing an ‘Allroad’ version of the latest Skoda Octavia Combi (Estate) to the market. As with all estate cars with offroad pretensions, the Octavia Scout comes with a more butch set of bumpers and a more purposeful nose, black cladding for the door sills and wheel arches, a new set of alloys, a raised ride height and a few tweaks for the interior so it all looks more than capable of taking on a muddy boot sale car park. British entrepreneur David Brown, not to be confused with the late Aston Martin owner Sir David Brown or the former British Prime Minister, has announced the upcoming debut of a new luxury sports-car brand bearing his name. Brown has teamed up with ex-Land Rover chief designer Alan Mobberley to create the new car, dubbed "Project Judi" for now. This wouldn't be an update of any existing model but rather an all-new exterior and interior design.

Mercedes to build C-class in Alabama

Mercedes-Benz will add production of C-class sedans to its plant near Tuscaloosa, Ala., starting in 2014. Daimler AG Chairman Dieter Zetsche, who participated in the creation of the Alabama plant project as a fast-rising executive in 1993, said in a statement released Wednesday from Stuttgart that the U.S. operation will take over about one-fifth of the model’s global production.
