Citroen at the Paris motor show 2008

Thu, 02 Oct 2008

By James Foxall Motor Shows 02 October 2008 11:59 Citroen is one of the show stealers this year with a stunning-looking concept car that you can actually drive, courtesy of a tie-up with PlayStation. But the firm’s stand had something for everyone, with 34 models including the new C3 Picasso, BMW X6-like Hypnos concept and even a hybrid World Rally Championship car.  This was the first car the firm unveiled in Paris and the one it spent most time talking about. It’s a Renault Modus-rivalling baby people carrier which goes on sale early in 2009.

Talking or texting while driving is hated by 47% of drivers, according to the research; comfortably ahead of tailgating on 42%. It’s the first time that following too closely has been knocked off its seriously irritating perch in years.

Jaguar XF Diesel S (2008): first details

Mon, 29 Dec 2008

It's the fastest diesel Jag ever – and will also slot into the XK coupe and cabrio. The diesel work-out is good news for the XF – today's 2.7-litre V6 turbodiesel doesn't have the clout to mix it with the best German engines. We've already complained about the slothful performance of our long-term test XF and the new, bigger 3.0-litre oil-burner should answer such criticisms.
