The most recent advance in vehicle safety has to be the autonomous emergency braking system (AEB) – a sophisticated suite of sensors and electronics that monitors objects in front of your car, automatically applying the brakes for you if it senses you’re heading to hit something. Up until now these auto-brake features have not been rated, but ahead of a new 2014 test that will include AEB systems in its overall safety star scoring, Euro NCAP has put the some of the vehicles already equipped with this technology through their paces. Christian Von Koenigsegg and Drive are back with another installment of “Inside Koenigsegg.” Episode 3 focuses on the One:1's active rear wing. The naked carbon-fiber wing on the 1,360-hp Koenigsegg One:1 gets a front-top mounting, which reportedly causes less turbulence than a rear-mounted wing. The total weight is about 20 pounds, which von Koenigsegg claims is about 1/3 of what most active wing systems weigh.

The Detroit auto show reveal of the Kia GT4 Stinger concept confirms what we suspected all along: The the strategic shadows that hid much of the car in preview photos concealed a clean, 2+2 fastback coupe. Though Kia claims there's no plans to put the car production as-shown, it's a tantalizingly plausible glimpse of where the automaker could go. And we like it.
