Mazda 3, Mazda 6 get customized for the SEMA Show

Tue, 05 Nov 2013

We like the look of Mazda's current lineup, from the basic 2 to the sleek 6. Kodo design language has a lot to do with it -- Mazda North American Operations design director Derek Jenkins says that, thanks that Kodo styling, "the Zoom-Zoom genetic code is further being embraced, not buried, through increasingly expressive vehicle design." (Ugh.-ED) We didn't know genetics had anything to do with it, but hey -- tough to argue with the results. Perhaps Kodo's effectiveness is why Mazda's SEMA show concepts are fairly...restrained compared to what other automakers are bringing to Las Vegas.

Project Kahn’s Wills & Kate Maybach 57

Sat, 23 Apr 2011

Kahn creates a Royal Maybach The last time we invited the world to a Royal Wedding involving an heir to the throne, Prince Charles married Lady Diana Spencer. But that was in 1981, when the world was a simpler, less commercially exploitative place than it is now. In 1981 we got Charles & Di mugs and plates (actually, there was a definite crockery theme going on) and maybe the odd flag to flutter with the Union Flag and a couple of mug shots.

Changan Raeton

Wed, 06 Jun 2012

Changan is predominantly active in the small car market, but the mid-sizes Raeton is aimed at entering the official and private vehicle markets, measuring in at a length of 4,920mm, a width of 1,825mm, while the car stands at 1,500mm tall riding on a wheelbase of 2,800mm. The development was based on the automaker's CD1-platform and was completed in its Turin-based European Design Centre, under the direction of Luciano D'Ambrosio and Chen Zheng. As early as the 2009 Shanghai auto show, Changan unveiled its CD101 concept car in attempt to explore the future design of the mid-size sedan.
