This auction is for a set of twelve Continental aircraft engine push rod tubes.  They were included with a batch of Continental O-470, IO-470, IO-520 parts that we received, so I am assuming that they will fit these engines. I could not find the original part number on any of them, but they all measure 11" in length with an outside diameter of 3/4".  All of the push rod tubes look to be in good used condition with no signs of damage or corrosion.

The Port Townsend Aero Museum received these push rod tubes as part of a large donation made to us by a gentleman who was retiring from his long time aircraft repair business. These push rod tubes were included in his inventory of used parts which he deemed "serviceable" or as "core".  As with any used aircraft part  you will need to have your licensed aircraft mechanic determine the airworthiness of this part prior to installation into your aircraft. We are selling these pars "As Is" with no warranty offered or implied.

This push rod tube set is being offered for auction by the Port Townsend Aero Museum in Port Townsend Washington. We are a non-profit 501 C-3 organization that is dedicated to the preservation, restoration, and operation of antique and classic aircraft through the involvement of our local youth population. If you have a minute you can learn more about our aero museum on the internet by searching for Port Townsend Aero Museum.

Thank you.

Lotus's glimmer of hope: Proton stands by Hethel

Wed, 09 Jan 2013

After another painful year of sales for Lotus in the UK – down 58% on 2011 - Norfolk's beleagured sports car brand has kicked off the New Year with the grand unveiling of its new flagship Malaysian showroom, and the thumbs-up from senior Proton company suits that Lotus isn't on its last legs. The announcement comes in the same week Lotus’s sales figures were released for 2012. Showing a substantial 58% decrease in sales and selling just 137 vehicles, Lotus Cars was the worst performer in the UK with a woeful 0.01% share of the market.  Are Lotus's Malaysian owners sticking by the company?
