Interior Motives Design Awards 2012

At a glamorous awards ceremony at the Espace Clacquesin in Paris earlier this evening, the world's top designers and automotive journalists gathered together to watch sponsors Peugeot and Volkswagen reveal the 2012 Interior Motives Student Design of the Year: ‘Autopool' by Siavash Jafari Jozani and Mina Kasirifar from the University of Tehran. At the end of what was a memorable event, the two Iranian students walked away with one of the most prestigious accolades in the automotive design industry and a cash prize of $5,000. Mercedes CL facelift (2010): first official photos

This is the newly facelifted Mercedes CL500; although previously tipped to be called the S-Class Coupé, Mercedes stuck with the original name after all. Alongside the soon-to-be industry-standard daytime running lights and updated grille, lights and exhaust, most of the changes on the new 2010 Merc CL are in areas you can't see. The biggest change is in the engine bay: out goes the old 5.5-litre V8 and in comes a more powerful and economical 4.7-litre bi-turbo.

Peugeot designers bring kids' car designs to life

Peugeot designers have brought six childrens' car sketches to life by rendering them as a prize for the 'Draw Me The Car of 2020' design competition, launched in collaboration with children's magazine Okapi. The six 10-15 year old winners – Clement, Thomas, Lena, Tom, Leo and Gaspard – were able to see their dream cars realized by Peugeot designer Olivier Gamiette, who worked on the EX1 concept car. Peugeot presented the first placed winner, Thomas, with a 270mm by 140mm model of his design at an awards ceremony held at the carmaker's design center in Velizy, France.
