'Snake & Mongoose' movie review
Fri, 06 Sep 2013There's another great motorsports rivalry being celebrated cinematically this month -- while "Rush" grabs all the global headlines, the drag racing biopic "Snake & Mongoose" has all the same elements that drove Lauda and Hunt -- minus the world stage. Hard to believe, but professional drag racing wasn't always a glamorous, high-budget affair with corporate hospitality suites and top drivers flying to races in private jets. "Snake & Mongoose" takes us back to an era when drivers needed that $500 win money to buy gas to get to the next race -- and held grudges against track owners who only paid $400.
Jaguar F-Type on video at Goodwood FoS
Fri, 13 Jul 2012We have video of Jaguar’s Mike Cross taking the new Jaguar F-Type up the hillclimb at Goodwood as Jaguar show off their new toy. We thought we were pretty much done and dusted with news from this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed, but as Jaguar has finally managed to edit a video of the new Jaguar F-Type at the FoS we thought it worth revisiting one more time. Jaguar made a bit of a show of the camouflaged F-Type at Goodwood – its first public outing – with guards standing outside the container the F-Type was housed in to keep sticky fingers and prying eyes at bay.
