After a first day packed with fascinating discussions and opportunities for networking, delegates from around the world reconvened in anticipation of another day of presentations from some of the industry's biggest names. Session 5: Deep Dive Luxury The second day of the Interior Motives China conference began with a session on 'Deep dive luxury', chaired by Emma Booty of Conran. Shu Bei of 3M kicked off the first session by identifying the Chinese obsession with brands.

The interior of the 2010 Vauxhall Meriva A couple of weeks ago Vauxhall revealed the details on the new Vauxhall Meriva and sent us a heap of pictures. Probably the biggest stand-out was the carry-over of the suicide doors from the original Meriva Concept (which we do have reservations about) but overall the new Meriva does look a more than half-decent car. But one thing Vauxhall didn’t do was release any pictures of the interior.

BMW Alpina B5 Bi-Turbo Touring (2011): first pictures

Alpina has released first details of the estate edition of its 5-series based B5 Bi-Turbo. The wannabe M5 Touring car will be officially unveiled at the 2011 Geneva motor show next week. Alpina has been tuning BMWs for more than 40 years with the factory's blessing and increasingly close collaboration. Presaging the recent move by BMW M to forced-induction engines, Alpina first turbocharged the 5-series when they launched the B10 Bi-Turbo of 1989.
