New battery switch. This switch is rated at 175 amps continous and 300 amps intermittent. It has four positions, Off, 1,2 and Both. It has a finger lock that needs to be depressed to change the positions. As with any switch, Engines should be off prior to switching. The housing is bakelite and is 5-7/16" square. Wed, 23 Sep 2009Volkswagen chose the Frankfurt motor show to unveil the revolutionary L1 Concept - a diesel-electric hybrid vehicle constructed from aluminum and carbon fiber. Weighing 380kg, the L1 can seat two occupants in tandem. They enter through a side-hinging, electrically operated canopy which maximizes aerodynamic efficiency. It has a Cd figure of just 0.195.
Kia to launch a new range-topping V8 saloon dubbed K9
Tue, 22 Mar 2011Kia will build their rumoured rear-wheel drive V8 saloon - but it won't come to the UK, sources in Korea have confirmed to CAR.Following the domestic badge hierarchy, this new range-topper would logically be called the K9. Perhaps that dog-inspired badge may explain why the car won’t come to Europe, but US sales are expected. Kia’s new range-topper: the ‘K9’ The new large Kia saloon was scheduled to be shown in 2011, but it has now been pushed back to a 2012 launch. The new saloon would sit above the front-drive 3.5-litre V6 K7/Cadenza saloon in the Kia line-up. CAR understands the new exec will be ready by May 2012. The K9 represents the first application of sister brand Hyundai's rear-drive technology from the Genesis and Equus. Expect Hyundai's 'Tau' V8 engine under the bonnet, along with the upcoming eight-speed automatic transmission which arrived in the Genesis R-Spec saloon at the 2011 Chicago auto show.

Sun, 16 May 2010The Alfa Romeo MiTo GTA & Alfa Romeo 8C GTA Spied Through the early part of last year we were convinced Alfa Romeo were going to launch a halo version of that cracking little car the MiTo, and bring the GTA badge out of the history box at the same time to create the Alfa MiTo GTA. Blimey, we not only managed to report details of the MiTo GTA but even had a video from Alfa of the MiTo GTA concept running around. But that all seemed to go out of the window when reports started flying round the car world last July that the Alfa MiTo GTA was dead and the hottest we’d get was the Alfa Romeo MiTo Quadrifoglio, although on both occasions we expressed the belief – probably more in hope than expectation – that Alfa would give us the MiTo GTA.
