You are bidding on a used Transmission Fluid Cooler Pipe as used in the Jaguar Series III XJ6 from 1983 until 1987.   The Jaguar part number is JA-CAC5143.  I removed this from my non-running 1985 XJ6 Vanden Plas parts car.   The prior owner junked this car due to engine problems but many of the parts are in great shape with no damage. If you need any particular parts, please let me know.  Pictures 1-9 show the actual transmission oil cooler pipe in this auction including lots of close up pictures so you will know before you buy exactly what you are getting.  The tenth picture show a page out of the Series III XJ6 Parts Catalogue showing this part and the effectivity at Model Year 1983 and VIN 346688. It is possible that this transmission cooler pipe was used on other Jaguars, but please check to be sure that it is appropriate for the car you plan to use it on.  Jaguar parts suppliers are charging about $250 for a new one of these.   My auction is for a fraction of that and my auction includes free shipping. This auction is for you if the transmission oil cooler in your XJ6 has been damaged, has started to leak, or if the XJ6 you are working on is missing one of these transmission coolers.

I am auctioning hundreds of items, including used parts for Jaguar Series III XJ6 and MK7, MK8 and MK 9, and some New Old Stock (NOS) gaskets and seals that are in excess of what I need.  If you need something for these cars and you don't see it in one of my auctions, please send me an email through ebay and I will check to see if I have it.

If you have any questions please contact me via ebay email before bidding.   If appropriate, I will post your question along with my answer in the auction.  I will also post more pictures in the auction if that helps answer your question.

I have described the Item as accurately as I can and provided detailed photos.  If you are not satisfied after you receive your items, please let me know by ebay message within 14 days and I will refund your purchase price minus shipping costs once I receive the same item back in the same condition it was shipped to you.

Free domestic USA shipping with tracking is included in the price.

I will combine shipping if you win multiple auctions from me and I can package and ship them all in the same box to reduce your shipping costs.  Please contact me about this.

Payment is required within 4 days of auction close otherwise I may open an "UNPAID ITEM CASE" through ebay. Please contact me if there will be a delay in payment and I will work with you. The possible impacts to you if the UNPAID ITEM CASE is not resolved include the loss of the auction and unfavorable marks on your ebay record.

For international buyers please contact me before bidding as international shipping, import duties, taxes and other charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges. These charges are the International buyer's responsibility. You will also need to tell me what international shipping service you want to use, including insurance, and I will determine the additional costs for that service based on what I have to pay.  I do not charge a separate handling fee so I will only charge you the additional costs I have to pay. I have no control over international shipping timelines and reliability.

Thanks for looking at and especially for bidding on my auctions!

Motorway pile-up 'like pinball'

Wed, 27 Nov 2013

DRIVERS involved in a fatal pile-up on a motorway entered a "wall of blackness" before suffering numerous impacts as if they were "a pinball machine", a jury heard. Seven people died and 51 were injured after 34 cars collided when a section of the M5 in Somerset was suddenly "engulfed in thick smog". Anthony and Pamela Adams, Maggie and Michael Barton, Malcolm Beacham, Terry Brice and Kye Thomas died in the incident, on November 4 2011.

Get up close and personal with the David Brown Automotive Speedback

Fri, 28 Mar 2014

The David Brown Automotive Speedback is certainly one of the more intriguing coachbuilt cars we've seen recently -- all the more so because it's a product of Britain, not the carrozzeria hub of Italy. We just got our first glimpse of the Speedback yesterday, and thanks to this XCar video, we can dive a bit deeper into the car's origins and its many design details (unfortunately, there's no on-road footage yet). The Speedback, in the words of DBA founder David Brown, seeks to combine the “classic simplicity of the '60s underpinned by a modern platform with all of the functionality you'd expect from a modern car.” And it does so successfully, from what we can tell so far.

Volkswagen, Dogs & Star Wars – a Super Bowl Ad

Sun, 22 Jan 2012

VW gets the dogs out for its Super Bowl Advert Volkswagen is planning a new Star Wars themed advert for the Super Bowl, this time with dogs singing the Star Wars theme. It may not be a big deal for us on this side of the Pond, but adverts in the Super Bowl are a very big deal for car makers in the US. Last year Volkswagen managed a viral hit with their ‘Little Vader’ take on Star Wars for the Super Bowl Ad, so they’re back this year with a variation on the same theme, with a choir of dogs barking out the Star Wars Theme.
