TurboWerx High-Temperature Electric Oil Scavenge Pum"Spartan-series"

Powerful, quiet, and PROVEN over years. Manufactured exclusively for TurboWerx, this custom engineered pump is designed to scavenge hot turbocharger drain oil from anywhere to anywhere in automotive applications. With its 1.75GPM (105GPH) scavenging capacity, it is powerful enough to scavenge oil from two journal-bearing turbos. It will self-prime/draw from over 8 vertical feet, and pump the oil as high as 20 vertical feet. The custom black anodized finned heatsink lowers operating temperature, further enhancing reliability.

The new heatsink design allows the pump to be rotated to any position across the full 360 degrees. See second picture for example of 180 degree rotation.

Whether the application moves 1 oz of oil a minute or up to 1.75 gallons a minute, 'under-flow' applications are no problem. In fact, the TurboWerx pump may be run dry indefinitely. Maximum operating pressure is 60 psi.

Monterey auctions set sales records

Mon, 20 Aug 2012

Monterey 2012 entered the record books not only besting all previous sales totals, but also producing some astonishing individual sales results. Although final numbers are not in, the folks at Hagerty Insurance had observers at each auction who kept a running total while every car crossed the block. Expect the total numbers to go up as postblock deals were being put together by each auction house.

We ride in the Icon Thriftmaster

If you don't know, a stock 1950 Chevrolet "drives like s--t," says Jonathan Ward, the CEO of Icon, who actually met his wife Jamie while restoring a Chevrolet pickup. "Archaic. I restored a few back in the day, back when I was still calling it a hobby." That's why Ward doesn't build stock 1950 Chevrolets.
