You are bidding on nine parts from a used but fully functional Boot Lid Lock as used in the Jaguar Series III XJ6 and XJ12 cars in the 1980s and early 1990s. The Jaguar part numbers are BD31103 (Striker), BD31104 (Retainer), BD36002 (Plate), SH604041/5 (two bolts), WF600041 (two lock washers) and WA106041 (two washers). It is likely that these parts were also used on other Jaguars of that era, perhaps in the Series II XJ6/12 or the XJ-S, but please check to be sure that they are appropriate for the car you plan to use it on. Pictures 1-4 show the actual parts in this auction. I removed them from my 1985 XJ6 Vanden Plas parts car which had a fully functional trunk/boot lid. Picture 5 shows the trunk of one of my Series III XJs with an identical set of hardware circled in red for orientation purposes. If you are having problems with the trunk lid in your Jaguar, or if your Jaguar is missing this part or if it is damaged, this auction is for you.

I am auctioning hundreds of items, including used parts for Jaguar Series III XJ6 and MK7, MK8 and MK 9, that are in excess of my needs. If you need something for these cars and you don't see it in one of my auctions, please send me an email through ebay and I will check to see if I have it.

1933 Alfa Romeo wins 'Gold Cup' at Villa d'Este

A 1933 Alfa Romeo that its owner longed for as a youngster growing up in South Africa took home the "Coppa d'Oro Villa d'Este" honors at the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este. The award is voted on by the attendees at the first day of the event, on the shores of Lake Como in Italy. David Cohen said he often saw the Alfa Romeo 6C GS 6th Series when he was riding his bicycle as a boy in South Africa and could only dream of one day owning the car.

2013 Audi A3 Sportback revealed (+video)

Audi has revealed the 2013 A3 Sportback ahead of a Paris 2012 debut, the five door version of the new A3. The new A3 Sportback is bigger than both the new A3 – by 35mm – and the old A3 Sportback – by 58mm – and it get a bigger boot than both – 380 litres with the seats up and 1220 litre with the seats down. There’s not a lot to say about how it looks, because it looks just like the new A3 with an extra pair of doors and a set of roof rails, but that extra length does mean a small amount more legroom in the back.

A. Kahn Design has turned its hand to the Range Rover Evoque with the RS250 Vesuvius Copper Evoque with cosmetic tweaks and big wheels. Kahn Design is a relative newcomer in the Land Rover pimping and preening scene compared to Overfinch (whose Evoque 2012 GTS we showed last weekend), but they have a strong following and do a fine job of making stand-out Range Rovers.
