Ford puts Volvo up for sale
Mon, 01 Dec 2008Having spent most of the last twenty years carefully building up a portfolio of Prestige European car makers, including Jaguar, Land Rover, Aston Martin and Volvo, the last of these, Volvo, has now been put up for sale by Ford. UK car production tops 1.5 million
Thu, 23 Jan 2014THE NUMBER of cars built in the UK topped 1.5 million last year, the highest for six years, amid what's being called "surging" demand at home and abroad. Production increased by 3.1% in 2013, with analysts predicting that output would reach record levels of around two million by 2017. The Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) said the UK was set to become the third largest car manufacturer in Europe after Germany and Spain.
Koenisgesgg Agera R BLT impounded by China’s customs
Sat, 13 Oct 2012The one-off Koenigsegg Agera R BLT has been impounded by China’s customs officials as they believe it was being smuggled in to China. When we reported the Agera R BLT had been created, we also noted that it was already crated up and on its way to China for the delight and delectation of its new owner. Unfortunately, it looks like China’s Customs officers read the same news and were ready and waiting for the one-off Agera.
