Bugatti Grand Sport Venet edition (2012): a 253mph art car

This is the latest one-off Bugatti Veyron supercar: the Bernar Venet editon. Partly inspired by the 1970s BMW art cars of Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein, French artist Bernar Venet's creation pays tribute to the eggheads responsible for the Veyron's conception, by covering the front panels in mathematical equations relating to the output of the car's enormous engine. Aston Martin recalls most cars made since 2007

Aston Martin Aston Martin is recalling 17,590 cars - most models built since late 2007 - over a counterfeit component mistakenly used in the accelerator assembly, the firm announced this evening. A Chinese supplier makes the throttle pedal and Aston Martin said it had discovered one part used counterfeit plastic material instead of the correct component from a European supplier. Aston Martin is keen to stress that there have been no instances of the part failing or any accidents as a result of the counterfeit part.
