Hyundai has released the first photos of its Sonata Transform sedan, one of the most important vehicles in the carmaker's lineup. This is its first major facelift since it was launched in 2004. The new design is a departure from its predecessor and the styling language has shifted from what was geometrical to a more organic and softer form, with rounder bumper surfaces and softer edges at the radiator grille and around the headlamps.

The Audi A3 1.2 TFSI Cabriolet arrives in the UK The Frankfurt Motor Show last year was – as is often the case these days – something of a ‘Green-fest’. We had BMW’s Vision Concept and the first outing for an Audi e-tron (is that really only six months ago?), but we also had the introduction of the smallest engine Audi have ever stuck in a car – the 1.2 TFSI. It may be the smallest engine, but it’s not the least powerful thanks to the turbo.

Now open for registration to design students based in China, the competition aims to further improve the quality of designs emerging from what will soon be the largest automotive market in the world. Students are asked to work to briefs set by three automotive manufacturers - GM PATAC, PSA-Peugeot/Citroen and Volkswagen - with the entries judged by a panel of design directors from both international and domestic OEMs.
