Michelin Challenge Design - Deadline for entries April 16
Tue, 01 Apr 2008You Can Design America's Next Iconic Vehicle Michelin Challenge Design - the global transportation design competition in its ninth year - is looking for America's next iconic vehicle. Submissions for the 2009 program will be accepted through April 16, 2008. The winning designs will be evaluated for their uniqueness, emotional appeal, design courage and technical execution by a jury of automotive design professionals and receive prominent display in the MCD exhibit at the 2009 North American International Auto Show. 2015 Hyundai Sonata shows off at the New York auto show
Wed, 16 Apr 2014Hyundai dished more details about its redesigned 2015 Hyundai Sonata at the New York auto show, including plans to introduce a “Sport” trim level for the U.S. market to compete with the Toyota Camry SE and Honda Accord Sport. “We were actually able to do quite a lot,” to differentiate the sporty Sonata version and a couple more variations, said John Shon, product planning manager for Hyundai Motor America.
Honda looks ahead with new SUV
Wed, 20 Nov 2013HONDA has unveiled a brand-new crossover SUV at the Tokyo Motor Show, scheduled to reach the UK in 2015. The compact-sized Vezel offers four-wheel drive and in Japan will come in petrol and hybrid models, although the 1.6-litre diesel is likely to feature in European specification. Combining the stance and driving position of an SUV but the design features of a coupe, the Vezel aims to compete with the increasing number of crossover vehicles that are winning sales from conventional hatchbacks.
