GM Advanced Design California celebrates 10th Anniversary

On the eve of the 2010 LA Auto Show, GM's California Advanced Design Studio opened its doors in North Hollywood, to celebrate its 10th Anniversary. Based in a former bakery, the studio occupies a relatively small space in North Hollywood/Burbank with studio warehouses and small outbuildings sharing the plot, creating an environment that – if not for the palm trees – could easily double for the artisan workshops of a firm in old Europe. Yet on the night itself, the studio took on an altogether ethereal appearance – light-filled globes floated above the buildings and grounds, casting a blue/white hue across the venue.

Mazda CX-5 is born from the Mazda Minagi Concept

Mazda CX-5 - the Mazda compact SUV Back at the Geneva Motor Show this year Mazda pitched up with the oddly named Mazda Minagi Concept, a compact SUV which we said would arrive in showrooms as the Mazda CX-5. SMS Supercars released illustrations this week of its new performance Mustang, which will start at $64,990 for the coupe. SMS is Steve Saleen's new venture, and it is planning two main versions based on the 2010 'Stang. A 470-hp model, the SMS 460, is the “base” car, and a convertible version is $69,990.
