First Sight: Daimler-BYD electric car design renderings leak out
Mon, 24 Oct 2011Computer renderings of an electric car, being jointly developed by BYD Co., a Chinese battery and car producer that began making cars only less than a decade ago, and Daimler AG with more than a century of experience - were leaked for the second time this year. It is also a key initiative in China, now the world's biggest auto market, for Daimler.

As you can tell by the ready-to-roll interior and surprisingly unshowy exterior, this Toledo is 'a close-to-production study'.
Lexus targets BMW X3 with new crossover
Fri, 04 Apr 2014LEXUS is set to join the mid-size crossover fray when it launches the NX at the Beijing Motor Show later this month. The move could be a massive one for Lexus as it tests the water in what has become one of the fastest-growing and fiercest-fought market sectors of them all. This teaser shot is all that Lexus is willing to show of the new car before then, but the headlight shape is clearly inspired by the formidable LFA hypercar.
