The motor I removed this from did not have a tag so I am not sure what year it was. Late 70's to early 80's. It has the small square shift rod. Oil has no water in it. As always I recommend changing the lower unit oil and a new water pump before putting her to use. Shifts smoothly and bearing/gears seem good.

SEMA adds four to hall of fame
Mon, 02 May 2011The Specialty Equipment Market Association is adding four names to its hall of fame: Gray Baskerville, Art Chrisman, Chris Economaki and John Towle. The SEMA Hall of Fame recognizes those who have especially helped foster the growth of the special-equipment automotive industry. -- Baskerville was senior editor of Hot Rod magazine for 30 years, though his writing is what really secured his ticket to the hall.
Toyota sets prices for Baja Series Tacoma
Wed, 25 Apr 2012Toyota has released sticker prices for the TRD T/X Baja Series package for the Tacoma pickup. The off-road bits will tack on $5,015 to the sticker of a four-wheel-drive Tacoma, minus the current $650 factory credit. The least expensive version will sticker at $33,800 including shipping charges.
