SEAT Alhambra (2010 / 2011) revealed

Mon, 19 Apr 2010

SEAT has revealed the 2011 Alhambra After we had the official reveal of the 2010 VW Sharan last month at Geneva, it’s not a huge shock that we now get the reveal of SEAT’s version of the Sharan – the SEAT Alhambra. We don’t think SEAT had planned on revealing the Alhambra quite yet, but there are undisguised spy shots flying around the Interweb so they obviously decided to be pragmatic and send out some info – and pictures – earlier than planned. Just like the Sharan, the latest Alhambra is an all new job based on VW’s new flexible MQB platform so, just like the Sharan, the Alhambra is wider and longer than the current model, but also weighs less.

Sales of Datsun cars officially restarted Wednesday after the brand's 30-year dormancy, with the first cars being delivered in India. Datsun of India announced pricing of the new Go hatchback, which is aimed at developing countries: Buyers in India will be able to purchase the Go for 312,270 rupees, which works out to about $5,091. The front-wheel-drive Go is powered by a 1.2-liter three-cylinder engine mated to a five-speed manual transmission.

Subaru Canada reveals ‘Driving Confidence’ contest winners

Fri, 17 Feb 2012

Subaru Canada has revealed the top three designs from its ‘Driving Confidence' competition. The Canadian division of the company collaborated with the artist web site deviantART and called for "original creations that celebrate the bold design, superior handling, and meticulous engineering that Subaru vehicles are renowned for." The challenge asked for competitors to push their creativity "to the limit", which many of them did with some impressively-abstract designs. The winner won $2,500 for "Born to Rally in the Snow," the second place received $1,000 for "Unleash the Beast," while third place was awarded $500 for "Subaru Slot Car Set." The runner-up was "Subaru Impreza WRC Rally 'The Pass 2'." All of the submissions are being displayed at Subaru's booth at the Canadian International Auto Show in Toronto and in the gallery above.
